Rocking Bed
Two storage units combine to form a single queen-sized bed, or separate, to function as twin beds. Designed for derelict apartments and tight urban quarters, the base unit is supported on rockers which are held in place by rubber chocks. This allows the bed to sit level on the most uneven flooring. Remove the chocks and the bed rocks. Perforated wood panels supported on neoprene wafers act as bed springs and allow air circulation between the mattress and the storage unit below.

Table for an urban dweller. Two hardwood planks rest on a plywood frame, separated by a thin gap. Threaded steel sleeves imbedded in the plywood frame allow the components to be dismantled easily and relocated. Photo Credit: Bruce Buck
